Can you believe it? "Fifty Years"!

Well, after SHS I attended MJC in Bradenton for a year and more.  I then worked for Winn Dixie for a few years until I received a letter from Uncle Sam that he needed me.  I enlisted in the Navy on 1-3-64.

After Boot Camp and school, I ended back in San Diego assigned to an F4 squadron (VF-142).  After two carrier cruises (USS Ranger and USS Constitution) in the South China Sea I was discharged 12-17-67.

Came back to Sarasota and went to work for EMR as a Calibration Tech.  It was during this time that I met and married (10-17-70) a lovely girl, Bonnie, who is seven years younger.  Her only fault is that she is a graduate of Manatee High.

We have two sons. The oldest, Eric, is an Army helicopter pilot (OH-58) and is headed back to Afghanistan again.  He is married and we have a grandson, Brandon.

Our other son, Kevin, is a surgical resident at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He is getting married to a lovely girl, Gretchen, who is also a doctor in October.

After leaving EMR I went into the television business.  Then I went to work for GTE (now Verizon) where I was promoted into management and retired after 25 years.

After about a year of working on that "Honey Do" list I was offered a contractor job for GTE.  This was supposed to be a 6-10 month job.  I just completed my 12th year and said "That's enough".

On the lighter side my hobbies and interest has been in Civil War history with my boys; Boy Scouts (Assistant Scout Master and Telephony Badge Advisor; Masonery (PDDGM) and working with a young girls group call Rainbow for Girls.  Bonnie and I have attended most of the reunions as we live here in Bradenton.  Am looking forward to meeting old (not a good choice of words) classmates we have not seen.
