Barbara O'Neill Dorman

Here’s my story:
I graduated from FSU in 1964 and taught 5th grade in St. Pete for 4 years. I also taught GED classes (High School Diploma) at night. I completed my Master’s Degree at USF in 1972.

My husband, Mike, and I moved back to Sarasota in 1973 with our two sons, Bill and Jon. Mike was the District Agent for Northwestern Mutual Life and I taught English for adults (ESOL) for 30 years.

I retired in 2004, and now volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club. I teach “Dancercise” and tutor kids in reading and math. We have 8 grandchildren and split our time between Sarasota and our house on Cullowhee Mountain in Western North Carolina.
